Newcomer's Island(#1603RDA)
This appears to be a rather constrictive inkwell, jammed full of characters. A little bit of Pink Elephant on Parade ink drops on you; through it one can see the rose garden that's out there and the people in it. Among other things, the world outside the inkwell offers housing that isn't so cramped, or so wet.
You might choose to visit the Rose Garden by typing 'out', or the park of the day by typing 'park'. You can return to this area by typing 'new'. If you're new to MUCKing, you can get a short list of important commands by typing 'commands'.
If you'd like a character, you can page a wizard who's on duty -- they're listed by typing 'wizzes' -- or if none are available, send an email with the name you want and some information about your character to character@spindizzy.org and if there's no difficulties, the persona will be created. It's highly recommended to take look around SpinDizzy and talk to other residents before requesting a character.
If you *have* a character and would like automated help setting it up, or re-setting it, you may wish to try typing the 'setup' command from here. You can get help finding a home by typing 'homefinder', or type 'homefinder #help' for more options.
If you need help, try paging helpstaff or a wizard (type 'helpstaff' or 'wizzes' for a list of such people), or for basic help type 'commands'.
It's just warm enough to be comfortable, though a cool wind is blowing some clouds across. It's about 2 pm local time.

The Rose Garden(#304RLCJ)
The water fountain stands at the center of the Rose Garden,
a circular pond with cement funnels, water turned off for the fear of
ice. From it, running in the cardinal directions, are twin avenues
covered in about six centimeters of snow; and surprisingly deep straits
of water that extend to the distance. A light fog rises from the warm
water, condensation slowly eating away the snowfall.
Bracketing the fountain and several curled benches the roses
grow, with the larger flowers still poking out from the white blanket
in concentric circles out to the trees. A vertical orange wall with
notes sticking to it serves as the bulletin board, and a drinking
fountain offers something to sip on.
It's just warm enough to be comfortable, though a cool wind is blowing some clouds across. It's about 2 pm local time.

Solar Train Depot - Spindizzy (N1 E0)(#321RLJ)
There is an articulate airship depot here where you can board the airship named Solar Train, which can transport passengers from Spindizzy Muck to the distant "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" world of Toonime Island. The airship is now opening its passenger cabin doors for you. Will you get on board for a meal?

Forest Clearing (N2 E0)(#338RL)
Dappled light shining through the leaves of the trees draw your
attention to an ivy covered shape in the centre of the clearing.
A strange light sparkles from beneath the ivy leaves, and as you
look closer, you see the sapphire eyes of a celtic dragon
concealed beneath the tangled ivy. The face seems to smile at
you, and the statue seems almost alive... maybe it is...
There is a small inscription carved into the base of the statue
with intricate lettering: 'Know Thyself'
To the north, the forest extends further. South is another
park-like clearing in the forest. To the east, you can just see
a larger clearing and a brick building. To the west there is a
trail leading into the distance.
Following the gaze of the dragon statue, you see another path
further into the forest that escaped your attention before....

This is a modest grove with the transplanted Christmas Trees

1313 Mockingbird Lane (N5 E0)(#389RL)
You find yourself on Mockingbird lane. As you look around, you find the place strangely familiar. Yes, that's the Cleaver's house over there. Next to it is Mr. Wilson's house, made obvious by the little boy in overalls and a striped shirt yelling, "Hello Mr. Wilson!". Across the street is Where Darrin and Samantha Stevens live, and you can't help but recognise the home of Mike and Carol Brady, and their six charming kids. As you look down the street, you see house after house you know and love. The sky is clear, the birds are chirping, and the world seems perfectly normal and middle class until.... Your gaze reaches the end of the street, where you see a house looming above a vine and moss covered wrought iron fence. The house looks dark and creepy, especially due to the thunderstorm raining upon only that house. You approach and see the address, 1313 Mockingbird Lane. Yep, this is the place.

look starship
This is a sleek, streamlined spaceship executed in ink and paint, bright
grass green colored with white racing stripes and more "NO STEP" signs
than are strictly necessary. The smoothly curved front has a broad wind-
shield and tapers gently to a blunt muzzle featuring a wonky assembly of
blasters, lenses, and gears. On the back are an array of propulsion
engines and some less obvious instruments of movement, and below are the
extensible legs which, however spindly, serve as landing gear.
Delta wings spread out to either side; fore of one is the airlock.

Starship Clampett - Interior
The ship's interior is built on an open plan, with a roughly semi-
circular bridge, flat in back. The walls are decorated with utilitarian
light gray plastic panels; the ceiling is white tiles with embedded
fluorescent lights; the flooring is darker gray and textured for
traction.
At front center before the curved windshield is a dashboard with
two comfy seats. On the dash in front of the pilot's seat is a yoke and
lots of buttons, dials, switches and displays, and on the dash in front
of the commander's seat is a panel labeled "Fleischertron" in block
letters, with pistol-grip joystick, buttons, and radar.
Dotted around the rest of the space, leaving enough room to walk
around, are about a half dozen other seats, each with their own safety
belts for strapping in securely. Aft of the bridge is the engine room,
allowing direct access to the engines and the experimental Avery Drive.

Ping is ... no, look down. Standing up at about two and a half
inches, she doesn't look like she's out to take over the world, but
you never really can tell with 'toons. She's dressed in a rather
striking green dress, with a wide-brimmed hat. The dress fits her
nicely, and draws attention to her more attractive parts.
Other than that, she's obviously bipedal, and has light grey fur.
Her large, thin ears and long, slender whiskers indicate sensitivity
to her surroundings, and she blinks at you in curiosity. She's also
wearing a tiny pair of sunglasses, the wires bending oddly yet
comfortably to curl over her ears, and she holds something that
looks like a wand or small staff. It somehow seems powerful, in
spite of its fragile appearance, and her own appearance is rather
unassuming... so don't assume too much!
